How Is Soundproofing Measured?

All our noise-reducing composite doors have a Decibel (dB) unit, which allows us to compare the volume of sounds, with zero being the lowest. For example, 0 dB would be total silence or sounds beyond normal hearing thresholds, while a normal conversation is 60 dB and a car horn is 110 dB. Any sound higher than 85 dB on this scale can cause hearing loss.

That’s why it’s vital to choose the right acoustically sound doors made from soundproof materials to restrict the amount of noise pollution you will have to put up with. Our doors feature tested and accredited dB ratings of as high as 36, so you can enjoy exceptional acoustic performance.
