WHAT IS A U-VALUE?

A U-Value measures how well a product such as a window or door, keeps heat inside a property. The lower the U-Value, the more thermally efficient the component. Endurance doors meet the requirements of the latest Approved Document L of Building Regulations, which states that doors must have a U-Value of 1.4 W/(m²·K) or less.

While the U-Value of our door styles may vary slightly, you can rest assured that all Endurance composite doors have a U-Value equal to or less than 1.4. If you want to enhance your composite doors’ thermal performance even further, you could choose triple glazing over our standard double glazing glass designs.

As a result of their solid core construction, Endurance doors boast a U-Value of 1.4 W/(m²·K) in accordance with the British Homes Standard. Keeping you in control of heat loss in your home.

SOLID TIMBER CORE

Endurance doors are built of 17 layers of cross laminated veneer. These layers create a barrier that minimises the transmission of sound vibrations, reducing the impact of external noises on the interior of the property.

AIR TIGHT COMPRESSION

Endurance doors are manufactured to ensure a tight and secure fit within the door frame. An external door gasket and adjustable hinges deliver firm and consistent compression between the door and frame to stop any drafts.

QUALITY GLAZING

Built up of 4mm soft coat glass panes, our high performance range of decorative glass units contain 90% argon gas to reduce heat transmission and improve the thermal performance of your Endurance door.

REINFORCED FRAMES

Our robust uPVC reinforced frame not only contributes to the overall strength and security of an Endurance door, but further boosts the overall thermal efficiency.

HEAT REFLECTIVE SKINS
