Solid To The Core Composite Doors

Endurance composite doors are renowned for their strength and security, our 48mm thick cross-bonded, laminated solid timber core delivers unrivalled strength and dimensional stability and is a natural choice for high security, providing our homeowners peace of mind.

Endurance doors are made up of 15 laminations making the door nearly 10% thicker than most composite doors. By investing in our doors, you’ll be able to enjoy an unrivalled degree of security and performance. You won’t find an entrance door tougher, safer or more reliable than our solid core composite door.

WHAT IS A SOLID CORE COMPOSITE DOOR?

Unlike typical foam-filled composite doors, Endurance doors stand the test of time with their solid laminated veneer lumber core. Each Endurance door features a robust 48mm thick core, offering superior strength and rigidity. This solid construction not only provides increased resistance to impacts and break-in attempts but also enhances thermal efficiency and sound insulation. With exceptional durability and security, Endurance doors are a reliable and valuable choice for any homeowner.

Our industry-leading moisture barrier system, expertly positioned at the base of each door, effectively prevents moisture ingress and its associated problems. This combination of innovative features ensures your home benefits from unmatched security and exceptional weather resistance.

KERTO LVL CORE

Kerto® is a laminated veneered lumber (LVL) that delivers unrivalled strength and dimensional stability. The engineered layup comprises cross-bonded veneers that enhance lateral strength and stiffness. Kerto LVL L-panels are made of 3 mm thick light-weight softwood veneers, with approximately 20 % of the veneers oriented in a crosswise direction. These cross-laminated veneers are bonded with weather-resistant adhesive to protect your home from external weather conditions.

This intelligent and modern design makes it the natural choice for high security composite entrance doors. Kerto products are CE marked and certified by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, no 184/03.

MOISTURE BARRIER

Our industry-leading moisture barrier system (MBS) is the first of its kind, developed to address the common issues of bowing, warping, and delamination seen in low-cost GRP composite doors. This essential feature, installed in the base of every Endurance door, ensures long-term durability and performance.

The innovative moisture barrier acts as a defence mechanism, protecting your door from the effects of water damage that can compromise performance over time. By effectively preventing moisture ingress and issues like warping, rotting, and bowing, this barrier keeps your door in pristine condition regardless of the weather conditions, offering lasting peace of mind and exceptional value in your home improvement.

DESIGN YOUR DOOR

BUILT TO LAST

With over a decade dedicated to their development, we have crafted a product that goes above and beyond to safeguard you and your home without compromising on style. Our relentless commitment to innovation and quality has resulted in doors that not only offer unparalleled security and durability but also exude timeless elegance.

As our timber core comprises laminated layers, you will not have to worry about this happening in your home. This core is further enhanced with our unique Moisture Barrier System, which works to protect your door against water damage and delamination.

MOISTURE RESISTANT

Swelling and bowing due to moisture damage are common issues in front doors, particularly in areas with varying weather conditions. These problems arise when moisture pools in the threshold and is absorbed into the core of the door, causing it to expand and deform over time. However, with Endurance composite doors, these issues are no longer a concern, thanks to our innovative moisture barrier technology. Situated at the bottom of every Endurance door, to ensure complete resistance to moisture build-up and heavy rainfall.

SLEDGEHAMMER TESTED

The solid timber core of an Endurance door has undergone rigorous testing to demonstrate its exceptional strength and durability. In particular, our doors have been subjected to sledgehammer attacks to assess their resistance to forced entry. Even under such extreme circumstances, the solid laminated veneer lumber core of Endurance doors has proven its ability to withstand impact, providing robust protection against burglary attempts. Offering complete peace of mind to homeowners nationwide.

INCREASED PRODUCT

While PVC and GRP doors may deteriorate over time due to exposure to various environmental factors, such as fluctuating temperatures and moisture exposure, the solid timber core of Endurance doors offers superior durability and resilience. This robust core material is inherently more resistant to warping, cracking, and degradation, ensuring that the door maintains its structural integrity and aesthetic appeal for many years to come.

MORE THAN A COMPOSITE

With over a decade of dedicated development, Endurance composite doors go above and beyond to safeguard you and your home without compromising on style. Our relentless commitment to innovation and quality has resulted in doors that not only offer unparalleled security and durability but also timeless elegance. With an industry-leading solid timber core, sourced from sustainable supply chains right at the heart of it.

Outclassing The Rest

Many composite doors on the market utilise a traditional ‘stile and rail’ internal subframe, which offers inferior performance when compared to the Endurance solid LVL core. This is important to note when you’re looking for a new door for your home.

Stile and rail sub-frames are usually filled with either a PU foam core, or a mix-species timber core. This notably reduces the inherent strength of the door, and can even result in some doors bowing due to the lack of structural integrity.

With the Endurance design, you can be sure that security and strength are never affected by a poorly designed sub-frame. We know that feeling safe in your home is a priority for you, which is why we make it a priority for us. Our solid core doors can’t be beaten.
