Imagine you’re well on the way to designing your ideal front door. You’ve got the style, the colour, and the finish all sorted; all that’s left to do is pick the glass for the window, and you’ll be ready to install it.
If experience has taught us anything about door design, it’s that lots of our customers draw a blank when they get to this point. Glazing tends to be the last thing people think of when designing a door, and selecting a design can be tricky. Don’t rush the decision though; the glass is a fundamental part of your new door’s overall look, and you won’t want to spoil it by picking the first thing you see just to get it finished quicker. Choosing your window doesn’t have to be a struggle, and we can help you every step of the way.
Our customers usually want the same things from their new door’s windows; light, security, and privacy. We all love the idea of the front corridor being bathed in natural light, but at the same time, nobody wants the glass to be transparent. Having a neighbour glancing into the house and seeing you struggling to get the children ready for school is unlikely to be on anybody’s wishlist.
That’s why we offer an extensive range of double glazing for our front doors. At present, we have 32 different glazing styles. Whether you’re looking for a charming, traditional glass design, a subtle splash of colour or something a bit modern, you’ll find one that’s right for you.
For example, the doors in our Classic Collection are complimented by stylish, modern glass designs like virtue. As you can see from Lindsey’s project, the glass allows subtle light into the house without exposing her home to passers-by.
Alternatively, the spring glass design gives doors a nice, floral touch, while the deco glass has a diamond pattern for a striking, art-deco-inspired look. With so many styles to choose from, there’s something for everyone.
It’s especially important to think about the opacity of the window. All our designs have an opacity rating between one and five, so you can instantly tell how see-through it is. And if there’s one style you really like but isn’t private enough for your needs, we can add a layer of backing glass to make it less transparent.
Here at Endurance Doors, we are often asked about the glazing options for front doors. No matter what style you settle on, you can be safe in the knowledge that our glass is thermally efficient, secure, and eye-catching. So, whether you have three small, square-shaped windows to glaze, a vertical rectangle or something else entirely, we can find the perfect finishing touch for your new door.
